Key Stage 3 History: Britain, 1066-On
Lessons that assist in delivering the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)
Service Description
From the data I have collected, one lesson per week will accelerate attainment improvements such that a pupil will achieve 1.5 grade levels higher than projected at GCSE. N.B. The National Curriculum strongly suggests that pupils are taught about the development of the church, state and society in Medieval England (1066-1745); about the British Empire (1585-1901) and about Britain, Europe and the World (1901-present). A suggestion is that while the majority of history studied should be British (and at the national level) there should also be a local history study of some description as well as at least one study of a significant non-British civilisation.
